In Memory of Carter John Cookson

🙏December & January🙏

These are Carter’s months… he was only with us for a short time but he had such an effect on so many, his plea for a ❤️ heart❤️ literally travelled across the world! We received messages from as far as Australia and South Africa, people desperately wanting our baby boy to receive his gift of life 💔

The heartache and sheer hollowness in our souls will stay with us forever, he could not keep going and he flew to the arms of his big brother 5 years ago.

Whilst Carter was being cared for at the Freeman Hospital PICU, we experienced a different type of surroundings to what we were used to at the RVI with our Charlie… there was a feeling of hope for these babies, but still an excruciating level of worry, stress and total turn around in lifestyle for the parents… a lot of the parents are in hospital a long time, as their child depends of life saving machinery such as Berlin hearts,.. these parents lives had been turned upside for months, we knew our foundation would be able to support them.

Every Christmas Eve, we go into the PICU, our hearts beat so fast but as soon as we see the Nurses they make us feel so blessed that they still remember and still talk about our angel. We glanced at his bed.. the memories flashed… but we took a deep breath and did what we were there to do💙💙

We have had many business/individuals donating to the goody bags this year…

💙Gillian Folan

💙Nicola Clifton

💙Jen Shenstone- Fyab Aesthestics

💙Claire Lee Haley – Blossom Skin & Aesthetics

💙Natasha – PDO Thread Queen

💙Amanda Grieveson – Believe to Achieve

💙Sue Moody

💙Lotti – Evavas Academy

💙Annon – Donation from Barbados

We are forever grateful! These bags are full of essential items, coffee, tea, toothbrush, shower gel etc and some CCF Merchandise…just what they need when they arrive or when they are running low

This would have really made us smile when we were in there… its the little things, when you feel like you are watching the world pass by from a goldfish bowl 😪

Myself, Chris and our new ‘Family Co-ordinator’ Kerry loved seeing all the staff and meeting potential CCF Families… we are all sending you our love and strength XxXx
