Meet the inspirational Logan

We would love to introduce to all our supporters another of our inspirational CCF families we have supported financially.

Logan was born with a congenital heart disease, he attended Leeds general hospital for a heart operation called the Ross Procedure to change two valves from his heart on the 5th of April. Logan’s procedure did not go to plan and his heart would not start correctly, the electrical impulses caused his left side of his heart to stop moving. Logan was then put on to a machine called ECMO and was flown to the freeman hospital in Newcastle.

On the 6th of April Logan underwent two more operations but unfortunately Logan’s heart is unviable, and he will need a heart transplant. Logan will have to remain at the freeman until a heart becomes available.

Our Cookie Monster was very lucky to have met the brave Logan and his grandad while handing out goody bags at the freeman.

Having all your kind support whether it be donating to us or donating your preloved items and purchasing from our shop you all have helped us financially support this inspirational family, giving them a little breathing space, and taking away their financial burdens to allow them to concentrate fully on their poorly child.

This weekend some of our fabulous team and supporters will be climbing Mount Snowdon to raise these vital funds to help support our families.
